Noodles Wheat


Long strings of noodles folded and packed in small packs- that is the noodles Bengalis have always known. It is only recently that noodles became a usual breakfast or tiffin item in Bengali households. Yellow noodles with scrambled eggs and potatoes was a special tiffin at school. Wheat noodles have a smooth texture.

Colour

Wheat noodles are white. But sometimes it has a yellow colour added to it. In such cases, the noodles appear yellowish.

Cooking Time

Wheat noodles take 5-6 minutes to boil. The cooking process will take another 10-12 minutes max.

How to store

Noodles may get dampened during monsoon when moisture in the air is high. So, the best is to store wheat noodles in containers with airtight lids.
